The Poker Room

A dedicated poker room for face-to-face play.

Real tables, real cards, and a room designed for the game. No screens, no distractions—just the felt, the shuffle, and the players.

The Room, in Person

A room built for the game

Card Manor Stradbroke is an offline poker venue first—a dedicated room where the table, the cards, and the players are the entire focus. The room is designed with low lighting, dark timber, and felt-topped tables that keep attention on the game.

No screens or digital distractions; the only light is warm copper, like candlelight. Every detail, from chair height to card stock, is chosen for serious face-to-face poker.

The atmosphere

Step into a low-lit, intimate space that feels like a private card room—quiet, focused, and unmistakably physical. Smoked graphite walls and dark timber panels absorb sound and create a hushed, concentrated mood. Copper accents provide the only warm light, highlighting the felt and the cards. The room is deliberately small to keep the game personal and face-to-face.

Real Tables, Real Cards

The physical details that matter

The tables

Our poker tables are built for serious play—solid timber rails, professional-grade felt, and a layout that keeps every hand clear. Each table seats up to nine players with ample elbow room and a clear view of the community cards. The felt is a deep graphite tone with subtle copper markings for the betting line. Tables are maintained daily to ensure a smooth, consistent surface.

The cards

We use real, physical cards—premium stock with a linen finish that shuffles cleanly and holds up through long sessions. Cards are replaced regularly to maintain crisp edges and clear indices. No plastic or novelty decks; only cards that feel right in the hand. Decks are inspected before every poker night.

Maintenance

Every surface is cared for daily. The felt is brushed, the timber rails are polished, and the lighting is checked before each session. This attention keeps the room consistent, so the only variable is the play itself.

The result is a room that feels the same on a quiet Thursday as it does on a busy Saturday night—prepared, focused, and entirely physical.

Poker Nights

Weekly schedule

Poker nights run every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, with a consistent start time and a relaxed but focused structure.

Thursday 7:00 PM – 11:00 PM

A steady midweek session with a focused pace and a full table.

Friday 7:00 PM – 12:00 AM

The longest night of the week, with a relaxed rhythm and room to settle in.

Saturday 6:00 PM – 11:00 PM

An earlier start for a complete evening of cards and conversation.

Format

Each night is a single-table session with a dedicated dealer, focusing on face-to-face play without clocks or pressure. Players rotate seats between hands to keep the game social and varied. The dealer manages the shuffle and the flow, so players can focus on the cards. No tournament structure; just continuous cash-style play with a relaxed pace.

Reservations are recommended, especially for Friday and Saturday nights. Walk-ins are welcome if a table is available.

House Conduct

Respect the table

The poker room is a place for focused, courteous play. We expect every guest to treat the table, the cards, and fellow players with respect.

  • No phones at the table; step away if you need to take a call.
  • Keep conversation low and avoid discussing hands in play.
  • Follow the dealer's instructions at all times.

Dress and arrival

Smart casual is the standard. Arrive 15 minutes before your session to settle in and review the house guidelines.

  • No sportswear or flip-flops.
  • Coat check is available at the entrance.
  • Late arrivals may forfeit their seat if not confirmed.

All poker room guests must be 21 years or older.

The Card Lounge

A quieter corner

Just off the poker room, the card lounge offers a softer space to review hands, enjoy a drink, or simply take a breath between sessions. Leather armchairs and low tables create an intimate, library-like atmosphere.

A small selection of card games and books is available for casual play. The lounge is open to all poker room guests before and after their sessions.

Dining After Dark

A table for the evening

After the cards are put away, the restaurant offers a quiet, chef-led dining experience that extends the night in the same warm, low-lit setting. The menu is seasonal and designed to be enjoyed slowly, with dishes that complement the evening's pace.

Reservations for poker guests are prioritized for late seatings. The dining room shares the same graphite and timber palette, creating a seamless transition.
