Poker Nights

The Room Comes Alive After Dark

Card Manor Stradbroke hosts regular poker nights where the focus is on the table, the cards, and the players across from you. Each evening is hosted in our dedicated poker room, with real tables, real cards, and a calm, focused atmosphere. No screens, no distractions—just the game.

Poker, In Person

Card Manor Stradbroke is an offline poker venue first. Our poker nights exist for the pleasure of the game itself.

There is a particular focus that comes from sitting at a real table with real cards in your hand. Our poker nights are built around that focus. The room is quiet, the lighting is low, and the pace is deliberate. Every detail—from the felt to the chairs—is chosen to keep your attention on the game.

A poker night at Card Manor is an event, not a quick game. You arrive, settle in, and play through a structured evening. When the final hand is done, the restaurant is there if you want to continue the conversation over a late dinner. The night belongs to you.

How the Night Unfolds

A poker night at Card Manor follows a clear, unhurried rhythm. From arrival to the final hand, every stage is designed to keep you present at the table.

  1. Arrival and Seating

Doors open thirty minutes before the first hand. You are welcomed at the entrance, shown to the poker room, and seated at your assigned table. A brief introduction covers the evening's format and table etiquette.

  2. The Opening Hands

Play begins with a calm, focused opening. The dealer sets the pace, and the room settles into its rhythm. This is the time to read the table, find your comfort, and enjoy the tactile feel of real cards.

  3. The Middle Game

As the evening progresses, the play deepens. Conversations stay low, decisions are deliberate, and the room takes on a quiet intensity. Breaks are scheduled to keep the focus sharp.

  4. The Final Hands and After

The last hands are played with the same care as the first. When the night concludes, the restaurant remains open for those who wish to continue the evening over dinner. There is no rush to leave.

Night Formats

Three distinct formats let you choose the evening that suits your style. Each is hosted in the same dedicated room, with the same care for the game.

A Room Built for Focus

The poker room at Card Manor Stradbroke is designed to disappear. The lighting is low and warm, the timber is dark, and the felt is deep green. Nothing competes for your attention.

Each table is positioned to give players enough space to think. The chairs are firm but comfortable, the cards are new, and the chips have a satisfying weight. The room's acoustics are soft, so conversations stay close to the table.

Voices from the Table

The poker nights at Card Manor are the only place I've found that takes the game seriously without making it feel like a competition. It's just good, focused play.

I come for the poker, but I stay for the room. The lighting, the felt, the quiet—it feels like a private club, but without any pretense.

The Evening Continues

When the last hand is played, the night doesn't have to end. Our restaurant is open late on poker nights, offering a quiet place to reflect on the game over a carefully prepared meal.

The dining room is a short walk from the poker room, and the menu is designed to be enjoyed at a relaxed pace. Many players choose to stay for a late dinner or a glass of wine, letting the evening wind down naturally.
